The optical end termination (1) has at least one test structure (12) with at least two surface sections (15a,15b), for providing a direct visual indication when the coupling surface (1b) for the optical conductors is not parallel to a reference plane. The test structure may be provided by two partial structures (14a,14b), positioned symmetrical to the longitudinal symmetry plane of the reference plane.
