The invention concerns a heat exchanger comprising an array of parallel tubes (10) assembled at each of their respective ends by a manifold (12; 14) in the form of a plate, each manifold being topped with a fluid box tightly closing the manifold and defining therewith a plurality of internal volumes forcing the fluid to circulate in predetermined directions in the tube array. The invention is characterised in that the fluid box is formed by a plurality of individual single-piece covers (16, 20, 24; 26, 28) jointly assembled to the manifold and defining said fluid box internal volumes. Said covers can in particular comprise similar fluid intake (16) and fluid collecting (20) covers, and covers reversing the fluid flow direction (24; 26, 28), likewise similar.
