PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a signal processing method, signal processing receiver, and integrated circuit therefor. SOLUTION: A signal processing receiver comprises a correlation engine, and the correlation engine further comprises a plurality of taps and a plurality of independent taps forming independent channels and is operatively connected to a digital signal processing core. The digital signal processing core executes instructions that compare at least one output of the correlation engine to a predetermined threshold corresponding to a probability of detection after a number of integration intervals to identify at least two candidate peaks, and the instructions are further configured to direct at least two independent channels to confirm at least two candidate peaks.
