PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable terminal device capable of searching and displaying routes which are not only roads but also ones using transport facilities such as electric trains, even for a destination which may move. SOLUTION: A position analyzing section 14 detects a position of the own device by using a GPS function and acquires position information which represents a position of another communication terminal 30 being the destination, from the communication terminal 30 by using a terminal communication section 12. A data processing section 17 searches a route from the position of the own device detected by the position analyzing section 14 up to the position of another communication terminal 30 acquired by the position analyzing section 14, from routes on a map represented by map information which is acquired from a traffic data server 20, i.e., the map information representing a map on which lines of the transport facilities are described, and then displays the searched route on a display section 13 so as to superimpose it on a map represented by map information acquired from a database 23.
