The process includes the following steps are carried out: a) production of a helical cutout (2) in a coil former (1); b) insertion of a flexible strip-like wire fabric (3) into the helical cutout (2); c) movement of the strip-shaped wire fabric (3) through the helical cutout (2) and production of a coiled hollow-cylindrical container (8).
