This liquid crystal display device 10 is provided with: a liquid crystal panel 11 having a display part AA capable of displaying an image and a non-display part NAA other than the display part AA; a flexible board part 40 having flexibility properties and being connected at one end 40a to the non-display part NAA; and a rigid board part 30 connected to the other end 40b of the flexible board part 40 that is opposite to the one end 40a, the rigid board part 30 supplying a signal to the liquid crystal panel 11 via the flexible board part 40, the rigid board part 30 being composed of at least a rigid part 31a harder than the flexible board part 40, a rigid part 31b that is arranged side by side with the rigid part 31a and is harder than the flexible board part 40, and a low-stiffness part 32a interposed between the rigid part 31a and the rigid part 31b, the low-stiffness part 32a having a lower stiffness than do the rigid part 31a and the rigid part 31b. |
