PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a guide catheter in which a latched state of the distal end of the guide catheter with respect to a coronary artery can be more surely maintained.SOLUTION: The guide catheter comprises: a guide catheter body to be inserted into a blood vessel; a balloon which is provided on the outer circumferential surface of the distal portion of the guide catheter body, diametrically enlarges in the centrifugal direction of the guide catheter body by injection of a pressurized fluid thereinto to abut on the inner wall of the blood vessel; and a flow channel portion for allowing blood flowing inside the blood vessel to bypass the baloon, when the balloon diametrically enlarges.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6 |
