<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light source device which can more efficiently carry out heat dissipation of a solid light source than when using a conventional one, and therefore, lengthening its service life. <P>SOLUTION: The light source device 10 includes an excitation light generating part 20 equipped with a plurality of solid light sources 34 generating excitation light and a plurality of collimator lenses 42 for nearly paralleling excitation light generated by the plurality of solid light sources 34, an excitation light reflecting part 50 equipped an excitation light reflecting face for reflecting the excitation light in a given direction, a condensing optical system 60 condensing the excitation light at a given condensing position, and a fluorescence generating part 70 equipped with a fluorescent layer 72 for generating fluorescence from the excitation light and for irradiating diverging rays containing at least fluorescence and having a Lambertian distribution. The excitation light reflecting face takes on a ring-like shape with a center part including a light axis of diverging rays removed, and the plurality of solid light sources 34 are arranged in the shape of a ring in correspondence with the shape of the excitation light reflecting face. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
