PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a carbon nano-tube that is long-sized.SOLUTION: In a production method, a carbon nano-tube is grown by feeding a raw-material gas 30 comprising a carbon nano-tube raw-material carbon compound, into a reaction vessel tube 14 containing a catalyst 26 for growing a carbon nano-tube, and at the same time, a halogen-containing compound gas 32 for reducing a formation amount of a carbon formation product such as an amorphous carbon which deposits, separately from the carbon nano-tube, on a surface of a catalyst particle 44 by the feed of the raw-material gas 30, is additionally fed into the reaction vessel tube 14.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
