The invention provides a grease degradation diagnosis device for determining whether grease needs to be replaced and a grease maintenance method. The grease and an organic solvent are added into a testing container. The grease and the organic solvent in the testing container are stirred to disperse a thickener in the grease in the organic solvent. By standing the testing container or subjecting the testing container to centrifugal separation, the thickener in dispersion liquid is subjected to sedimentation. The sedimentation height of the thickener in the testing container is tested. The fracture rate of the thickener is calculated according to the tested sedimentation height of the thickener. The degradation state of the grease is diagnosed according to the calculated fracture rate. |
