The present invention provides a coaxial cable for transmitting high-frequency signals, wherein the insulating layer of the coaxial cable is free of any colorant and the laser-induced damage to a conductor inside the cable is avoided during the terminal treatment. The coaxial cable (100) for transmitting high-frequency signals comprises a conductor (101), an insulating layer (102) formed on the outer periphery of the conductor (101), a light-shielding layer (103) formed on the outer periphery of the insulating layer (102), a shielding layer (105) used for laterally winding up a wire (104) onto the periphery of the light-shielding layer (103), and a coating layer (106) formed on the outer periphery of the shielding layer (105).
