摘要 A system using a semi-tractor and the engine of the semi-tractor to heat a fluid from a cryogenic temperature to approximately room temperature while pressurizing the fluid is disclosed. The system is mounted on the frame of the semi-tractor and preserves the ability of the semi-tractor to haul a standard semi-trailer tanker. The system uses a semi-tractor having an internal combustion engine cooled by a liquid coolant, a cab with a sleeper section. The sleeper section is used as a control cabin for allowing an operator to monitor the operation of the system in the field. The frame includes a fifth wheel type coupler that is mounted forward of the rearmost wheel axle of the semi-tractor.

A system for transporting, heating and pressurizing a fluid from a cryogenic temperature to a superheated, vapor, state where the fluid is delivered to a semi tractor, the semi tractor having an internal combustion engine cooled by a liquid coolant, a cab section, and a frame with frame rails and a trailer coupling that is mounted over the frame rails at a location between a rearmost axle of the semi tractor and the cab section, the coupling being adapted for accepting a semi-trailer tanker, the system comprising: a support platform adapted for mounting from the frame rails of the semi tractor at a location between the rearmost axle and the cab section of the semi tractor, the support platform having: a hydraulic system that is adapted for being powered by the engine of the semi tractor, the hydraulic system including a hydraulic pump operated by hydraulic fluid, the hydraulic system further having a pressure relief valve that allows increasing temperature of the hydraulic fluid through a reduction of pressure, and so that the temperature of the liquid coolant may be altered by altering a load on the hydraulic fluid;a heat exchanger, the heat exchanger having a liquid coolant to cryogenic fluid heat transfer section that is adapted for accepting liquid coolant from the engine, a hydraulic fluid to cryogenic fluid heat transfer section that is adapted for accepting hydraulic fluid from the hydraulic system, and an exhaust gas to cryogenic fluid heat transfer section that is that is adapted for accepting exhaust gas from the internal combustion engine; a computerized control panel programmed to collect temperature of the liquid coolant as the liquid coolant exits the liquid coolant to cryogenic fluid heat transfer section, the hydraulic fluid temperature as the hydraulic fluid exits hydraulic fluid to cryogenic fluid heat transfer section, and the temperature of the cryogenic fluid as the fluid exits the exhaust gas to cryogenic fluid heat transfer section, so that the temperature and pressure of the cryogenic fluid is correlated to a desired temperature and pressure of gas derived from the cryogenic fluid, so that the flow of the cryogenic fluid, the liquid coolant, hydraulic fluid, and the exhaust gas flow through the heat exchangers is adjusted through the use of the control panel in order to control the exit temperature of the gas, the exit temperature of the liquid coolant, and the exit temperature of the hydraulic fluid, and so that removal of the support platform supporting the system allows the system to be transferred to other semi tractors or other load carrying vehicles.
