RECORDING/REPRODUCING DEVICE, RECORDING/REPRODUCING METHOD, AND PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording/reproducing device capable of quickly adjusting a tilt in a multilayer optical recording medium for reducing coma aberration, and to provide a recording/reproducing method and a program.

SOLUTION: The recording/reproducing device includes an adjustment unit for adjusting a tilt of a first data recording face based on the first data recording face of a plurality of data recording faces contained in the optical recording medium; an adjustment quantity measuring unit for measuring a first tilt adjustment quantity from a result of adjustment of the tilt; an acquiring unit for acquiring the coma aberration included by the device itself; and a calculation unit for calculating a second tilt adjustment quantity for adjusting the tilt of the second data recording face different from the first data recording face based on the first tilt adjustment quantity and the coma aberration.
