PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a lateral irregularity in fineness of dots and lines by setting equal a relative positional relationship between an unmatched face of a platen roller outer circumference and a recording paper at each transfer process in color overlap printing. SOLUTION: A platen roller 3 is axially supported opposite to a thermal head 2, and a feed roller 4 is set downstream in a forward send direction of a recording paper 1. The feed roller 4 interlocks with a stepping motor 6 which is driven by a controller 9 via a belt 5. Moreover, the platen roller 3 interlocks with the feed roller 4 via an idle gear mechanism 7 and an electromagnetic clutch 8. An outer diameter r2 and the number of teeth n2 of the platen roller 3 are set to satisfy r1/n1=r2/n2 to an outer diameter r1 and the number of teeth n1 of the feed roller 4.
