<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid electrolyte battery, manufactured using a cathode composed, as an active material, of a Li-containing transition-metal compound deposited by a vapor phase epitaxial method and a solid electrolyte deposited thereupon, which helps to suppress the occurrence of short-circuit failures. <P>SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a manufacturing method for a solid electrolyte battery, where a cathode composed, as an active material, of a lithium-containing transition-metal compound and a lithium ion conductive solid electrolyte are used, includes a cathode forming step of depositing a cathode composed, as an active material, of a lithium-containing transition-metal compound on a collector substrate by using a vapor phase epitaxial method; a press step of pressing the cathode with a prescribed pressure, an anneal step of heating the pressed cathode to a prescribed temperature to crystallize the active material; and a sold electrolyte depositing step of depositing a solid electrolyte on the annealed cathode by using a vapor phase epitaxial method, and a solid electrolyte battery which is manufactured by the manufacturing method. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
