<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paint composition superior in water resistance, weather resistance and durability, and capable of maintaining beautiful appearance for a long period of time. <P>SOLUTION: The paint composition comprises paint components, calcium phosphate and titanium oxide. As a photocatalyst, titanium oxide particles of which the surfaces are partially coated with calcium phosphate, or a porous body of which the surface is coated with a titanium oxide film and further the surface of the titanium oxide film is partially coated with calcium phosphate, is used. The crystal form of the titanium oxide is preferably anatase. As an organic paint, a vinyl synthetic resin emulsion, and as an inorganic paint, a solution containing a metal alkoxide for forming the coating film by sol-gel method and the like, are cited. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
