<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radiation sensitive resin composition from which a color filter that will not cause "image burn-in" can be formed with a high product yield, and which has high sensitivity and high solvent solubility of a dry coating film. <P>SOLUTION: The radiation sensitive resin composition comprises (A) a pigment, (B) an alkali-soluble resin, (C) a polyfunctional monomer and (D) a radiation sensitive radical generator, wherein the component (B) comprises a resin obtained by living radical polymerization of a polymerizable unsaturated compound and having Mw (Mw is the weight average molecular weight expressed, in terms of polystyrene) of 1,000-45,000, and the component (D) comprises a compound of Formula (1) and/or a compound of Formula (2) as the essential component.
