PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a non-contact type conveying device for a belt-like body and a non-contact type conveying method for the belt-like body, in which correction force is generated even for small meandering of the belt-like body, and the belt-like body can be stably conveyed.SOLUTION: A conveying device for a belt-like body conveys the belt-like body by jetting a gas from slit nozzles to a lower surface of the belt-like body to float the same. Each of openings of the slit nozzles has an opening area in both width end sides in a floater width direction larger than that in the center part. A plurality of rib plates, which have a height increased toward both width end sides in the floater width direction from the center part, are erected on a top plate of the floater at an interval in the floater width direction so as to be parallel to the belt-like body conveying direction, and side plates having a height higher than the rib plates are erected on both outsides of the rib plates in the floater width direction so as to be parallel to the rib plates. By using the device for conveying the belt-like body, the floating height of the belt-like body from a top of the rib plate in the center part in the floater width direction is set to be 1/10 or less of a width of the belt-like body to convey the belt-like body. |
