<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rat embryonic stem cell, and to provide a rat embryonic stem cell-establishing method and the like. <P>SOLUTION: There is provided a rat embryonic stem cell obtained by a production method characterized in performing a process comprising the following steps (A)-(D) under the culture conditions using a culture medium of ≤2% blood serum concentration and using a culture medium containing rLIF in the steps (B)-(D): (A) is a step of dissociating an inner cell mass formed by the culture of the rat blastocyst, using a culture medium containing no rLIF, under the conditions remaining cell aggregate, (B) is a step of culturing primary embryonic stem cells resulting from the culture of the dissociated inner cell mass until it can be subcultured, (C) is a step of dissociating the primary embryonic stem cells, which become subculturable, under the conditions remaining cell aggregate, followed by subculturing the same, and (D) is a step of further subculturing to establish an embryonic stem cell. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
