PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the amount of toner to be wasted, and continuously suppress an influence caused by use of the toner on image quality.SOLUTION: An image forming device, when receiving an image forming instruction (S1), acquires reference information such as an instruction information including an image data and an image quality mode, an image area ratio, and the type of a sheet included in the image forming instruction, and calculates the occurrence rate representing information related to the likelihood of the occurrence of a change in image quality of a toner image (S2 to S4). The image forming device 10, when the occurrence rate is equal to or more than a threshold level (S5; YES), forms a first specific image having high density and a large image area to discharge a transfer residual toner retained by a developing device, and switches to an unused toner (S7). The image forming device 10, when instructed to form a black second specific image (S9; YES), overlaps a toner having the occurrence rate of more than the threshold level on the second specific image before transmitting the second specific image. Hereafter, a change in image quality due to the use of the transfer residual toner can be suppressed in formation of the toner image. |
