The invention relates to sunflower plants, having substitution P128L in large subunit of acetyl hydroxyl acid synthase (AHASL), providing plant resistance to imidazoline herbicides. The invention also relates to sequences, coding the mentioned large subunit of acetyl hydroxyl acid synthase (AHASL), and to the methods for weed control near herbicide-resistant plants, having the mentioned substitution in large subunit of acetyl hydroxyl acid synthase.
