PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display a more excellent effect in a reaction using a third phase by incorporating a quaternary onium salt and a polyalkylene glycol in a catalyst which exists as the third phase together with an aqueous phase and an organic phase and accelerates a reaction between reaction components dissolved in both phases of the aqueous phase and the organic phase. SOLUTION: By incorporating a quaternary onium salt and a polyalkylene glycol in a catalyst, a third phase is generated between an aqueous phase and an organic phase, and a reaction between reacting components which are dissolved in both phases of the aquesou phase and the organic phase is accelerated. At that time as the quaternary onium salt and the polyalkylene glycol both which are well known can be generally used as a phase transfer catalyst. That is, as the quaternary onium salt, a quaternary ammonium salt and a quaternary phosphonium salt are preferable. Further as the polyalkylene glycol, polyethylene glycol, polypropylene glycol, an alkylene glycol having an ethyleneoxy group or the like in a molecule, or the like are preferable.
