PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a testing method of a disk drive which specifies a recording disk with a reduced squeeze margin. SOLUTION: In a squeeze margin test, a HDD1 writes data of a data track Dtr_k at a target position Tt1. A write inhibiting value on the side of a data track Dtr_k+1 is Int2. After writing the data of the data track Dtr_k, the HDD1 writes the data of the data track Dtr_k+1 at a target position Tt2.
