PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an opening and closing detecting device which is attached according to various kinds of opening and closing directions and arrangement. SOLUTION: The opening and closing detecting device, which is attached to a structure to be opened and closed so as to detect the opening and closing of the structure, includes: a box shape storage case with an open front; a main body to be stored in the storage case; and fixing means for fixing the stored main body to the storage case. One side surface of the storage case is defined as an attachment surface to be attached to the structure.
