<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor in which each user can carry out processing relating to personal information of the user while preventing leakage or the like of the personal information of the user without seriously disturbing the use thereof by many unspecific users, and an operation mode switching method for the image processor. <P>SOLUTION: The image processor includes a user authentication section for acquiring ID information to identify each user from among a plurality of users and performing user authentication based on the ID information; an operation mode setting section capable of selectively setting a public operation mode for permitting many unspecific persons to operate or a personal operation mode for permitting each user individually to operate, as an operation mode for setting a work environment with respect to operation inputs; and a mode switching section for switching the operation mode, when a user is authenticated in the user authentication section, from the public operation mode to the personal operation mode for the authenticated user. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
