<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motion vector detecting method and a motion vector detection device which is especially applied to motion vector detection by a gradient method by which the detecting accuracy of a motion vector is improved by a constitution simpler than a conventional one. <P>SOLUTION: The motion vector detection circuit 52 by a direct gradient method outputs predetermined fixed values 1 and 0 in place of output values of immediately preceding integrating circuits 61, 62 and 64 and subtracting circuits 77 and 80 in accordance with picture element gradientsΣ(ΔX)<SP>2</SP>andΣ(ΔY)<SP>2</SP>. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
