PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device ensuring high control accuracy by properly and rapidly compensating a control error even under a condition that the control error is temporarily increased due to a decrease in the durability of the detected result of a reference parameter other than controlled variables. SOLUTION: An air-fuel ratio controller 100 for the control device 1 calculates an air-fuel ratio error estimation value Eaf and an error weighting W, calculates a corrected error Weaf as a value Eaf×W, calculates a value Dlift_bs to set the value Weaf to a value 0, calculates a lift correction value Dlift as a value Dlift_bs×Rlift, calculates a valve lift Liftin_mod after correction by adding the value Dlift to the valve lift Liftin, calculates a first estimated intake amount Ccyl_vt for feed-forward controlling an air-fuel ratio according to the value Liftin_mod, calculates an air-fuel ratio correction coefficient KAF for feedback controlling the air-fuel ratio, and calculates a fuel injection amount TOUT according to them.
