PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a yarn-supporting device enabling two fiber yarns to be easily doubled with each other, and enabling the yarns to be superposed in a state of each fiber yarn in a uniform width, thereby preventing breakage and burning off of the fiber yarn under a flameproofing process by allowing the fiber yarns to be interlaced uniformly and to reduce the range of reduction of the flameproofing treatment temperature, and to provide a yarn-supporting method. SOLUTION: The yarn-supporting device is obtained by installing a pair of first yarn-nipping parts 30 and 31 for nipping a part of one assembled tow 2a, and a pair of second yarn-nipping parts 34 and 35 for nipping a part of the other assembled tow 2b so as to mutually come near or away so that the part of one assembled tow 2a and the part of the other assembled tow 2b may be superposed from a separated state.
