PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain high operation voltage while preventing the diameter of a polymer bushing from increasing. SOLUTION: This polymer bushing 1 has a conductor drawing rod 2 which is located in the center and has a conductor insertion hole 2a at a lower edge portion, a hard insulation body 3 which is provided at an outer circumference of the conductor drawing rod 2 and has a receiving port 31a of a cable terminal 7 at a lower edge portion, and a polymer coated body 4 which is provided at an outer circumference of the insulation body 3 and in which a number of pleat portions 4a are formed at the outer circumference in a longitudinal direction so as to be apart from each other. Besides, a large-diameter portion 33 is provided adjacent to the lower edge portion of the insulation body 2 and at a more upper portion than the conductor insertion hole 2a, a sleeve-shaped metal shield fitting 6 is buried in the large diameter part 33 so as to be coaxial with the conductor drawing rod 2, and an electric field relaxed layer 5 is provided at an interface between the large diameter part 33 and the polymer coated body 4.
