There is provided a system, method and kit for permitting relative movement between a wood frame and a concrete or masonry wall. The system may include a first structural frame member connectable to the concrete or masonry wall and a second structural frame member connectable to the wood frame. The method may include connecting both a first structural frame member to the concrete or masonry wall and a second structural frame member to the wood frame. The kit may include a first structural frame member for connecting to the concrete or masonry wall and a second structural frame member for connecting to the wood frame. A sliding device may be disposed within the first and second frame members for cooperatively permitting the frame members to slide along one-another along the planar area.
