The invention relates to a building block and to a building kit consisting of a plurality of such building blocks. Said building block comprises a body having at least one socket side (2), whose outer surface (20) comprises at least one opening (26) forming a socket (21), and at least one plug (11) which can be plugged into a socket (31) of a socket side (2) of an additional building block with the same design, so as to form a plug connection. A recess is formed on an edge region of the socket side such that, when said socket side (2) lies in alignment against one or more additional same-design socket sides of one or more additional building blocks, this recess forms, together with an additional recess of said one or more additional socket sides, a composite socket into which a plug corresponding to said plug can be plugged. |
