PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a load to a welding portion of a segment coil of a stator.SOLUTION: In a method of manufacturing a stator, a plurality of segment coils 14 equipped with a pair of straight ling portions 14a coupled by coupling portion is inserted into a plurality of slots 12 provided on a plurality of circumferences of an annular stator core 11. A first segment coil positioned on a first circumference is twisted in one direction, and a second segment coil positioned on a second circumference adjacent to the outer side in a diametrical direction of the first circumference is twisted in the opposite direction to the one direction. A first tip end portion 14b of the first segment coil and a second tip end portion 14b of the second segment coil are aligned so as to be adjacent to each other in the diametrical direction. A jig 30 is made to abut on the first tip end portion from the inner side in the diametrical direction to deform that to the second tip end portion, and then the jig 30 is made to abut on the second tip end portion from the outer side in the diametrical direction to deform that to the first tip end portion. The first tip end portion and the second tip end portion are contacted with each other, and the first tip end portion and the second tip end portion are welded while being contacted.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 11 |
