PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel motor which suppresses electro-corrosion of a rolling bearing and is capable of maintaining a fixed state of a housing and the rolling bearing for a long time, and a washing machine employing the motor.SOLUTION: A housing of the motor is divided into a housing for outer peripheral surface formation and a housing for side face formation, end faces of both the housings are coupled by an insulative synthetic resin and in the vicinity of a center of the housing for side face formation, the rolling bearing is fixed to the housing for side face formation. Thus, since the end faces of the housing for outer peripheral surface formation and the housing for side face formation are coupled by the insulative synthetic resin, flowing of a current from the housing to the rolling bearing is reduced, thereby suppressing electro-corrosion. Further, since the rolling bearing is fixed by the housing for side face formation, the fixed state of the housing for side face formation and the rolling bearing can be maintained for a long time.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
