PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately determine, as for FAX data from a number unregistered in an address book, whether to register the number in the address book.SOLUTION: An FAX data management system includes: management means for, when the FAX number of received FAX data is not registered in address book data in which the designations of transmission sources and FAX numbers are registered in association, managing information including at least the FAX number of the received FAX data as unregistered address information; display means for displaying the unregistered address information and the image of the FAX data whose FAX number is not registered in the address book data; and registration means for registering the FAX number selected from among the unregistered address information in association with the designation of the transmission source in the address book data.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 17
