PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing device that can increase the possibilities that battery lifetime may be elongated.SOLUTION: A CPU of a printing device acquires value information including at least either one values of power-supply voltages and environmental temperatures. The CPU sets more read-ahead units as values based on the acquired value information are smaller. The CPU performs read-ahead in read-ahead ranges L1-L25 or the like, ranges corresponding to predetermined numbers of lines on which printing is not executed, referring to printing data, with respect to points P1-P25 or the like. The CPU, referring to the numbers of on-dots for which the read-ahead is performed, decreases the numbers of blocks, when satisfying predetermined conditions set so that the numbers of blocks of heater elements are hardly decreased, as the read-ahead units increase. The CPU, when the numbers of blocks are decreased, accelerates conveyance speed of a printing medium and time-shares preset number of blocks to perform printing.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8 |
