PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular collision shock absorber capable of absorbing a collision load applied from forward of an external part of a bumper in a vehicle width direction.SOLUTION: A shock absorber includes: a collision sensing part 8, disposed externally to a part connected to a side member 3 of a bumper 4, for sensing a collision load applied from a vehicle front; a front side extension member 7 for absorbing the collision load by extending toward a front side of a vehicle Ve beyond a front wheel 9 when the collision sensing part 8 senses the collision load; and a rear side extension part 18 for absorbing the collision load by extending toward a rear side of the vehicle Ve beyond the front wheel 9 when the collision sensing part 8 senses the collision load.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
