An apparatus for hammering the string of a piano in which a static load being applied to the playing-side forward end of a key (3) can be adjusted readily. Each key (3) is provided with a long weight lever (21) disposed along the longitudinal direction of the key (3) at an upper part on the side opposite to the playing side of the key (3) and arranged such that one end is secured to the piano body to oscillate freely up and down and the vertically displaceable open end side touches the upper surface of the key (3) gravitationally to apply a load thereto. A static load being applied to the key (3) ca be adjusted by replacing the weight lever (21) without dismantling the hammering apparatus and removing the key (3). |
