A tool for filling voids of a turbine vane and other components and a method thereof are provided to efficiently fill a hole with alloy paste more than the existing method using an injection needle and to satisfy human body conditions and reduce errors by making the working procedure less boring. A tool for filling voids of a turbine vane and other components comprises at least one pad, that is, a first pad and a second pad having a working surface formed similarly to the shape of a desired area of the component surface having the voids. The pads are combined with each other to cover a corresponding desired area to press paste into the void by the working surface. The component is a turbine engine blade or vane(12) having a suction surface, a pressure surface, and a front end edge connecting the suction surface with the pressure surface. One of the pads is a suction surface pad having a working surface formed similarly to a suction surface desired area; the other is a pressure surface pad having a working surface formed similarly to a pressure surface desired area. |
