摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical communication device that performs optical communication by detecting presence of a cloud between a satellite and a ground station and selecting the ground station capable of establishing high quality communication. <P>SOLUTION: The optical communication equipment, mounted on a flying object to perform optical communication with a ground station by a laser beam, includes: a laser beam transmission section for communication that alternatively communicates with any of a plurality of ground stations; a laser beam transmission section for detection that transmits a laser beam for detecting an obstacle to the ground station; a receiving section that receives reflected light of the laser beam for detecting the obstacle from the ground or the obstacle; an obstacle determination section for detecting presence of the obstacle based on the received reflected light; and a control section for commanding the laser beam transmission section for detection to transmit the laser beam for detection to another one of the ground stations when the obstacle is detected and commanding the laser beam transmission section for communication to perform optical communication with the ground station which has transmitted the laser beam for detection when the obstacle is not detected. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
