<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brake preventing a driver from feeling discomfort in braking. <P>SOLUTION: The brake has a brake pedal 51 with pedal plate 41 disposed to a tip part, and a pedaling force sensor 57 detecting pedaling force of the brake pedal 51, and generates a braking force exerted on wheels depending on detection signals from the pedaling force sensor 57. A part to which the pedal effort of the pedal plate 41 is transmitted has the pedaling force sensor 57, and a damping mechanism 60 including a damping material 63 made of elastic rubber.
