A vehicle seat pad (1) in which ridges (9) extending in the directions perpendicular to each other are formed by creating recesses (8) in the upper surfaces of an under-thigh section (2) and an under-buttock section (3) of the vehicle seat pad (1). The height of the ridges (9), or the depth h of the recesses (8), is in the range of 2 to 40 mm, or preferably in the range of 5 to 20 mm, the width w of each recess (8) is in the range of 10 to 30 mm, or preferably in the range of 20 to 30 mm, and the area of the opening of each recess (8) is in the range of 50 to 1000 mm2, or preferably in the range of 100 to 900 mm2. Thus, the vehicle seat pad whose surface has excellent soft feel and good occupant support characteristics can be integrally produced by foam molding.
