<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display device and a control method thereof which achieve improvement in usability by adjusting timing for notifying a locked state. <P>SOLUTION: An image display device 1 includes: a main body operation unit 21 which is provided in the image display device, and which receives operation to the image display device; a locked state setting unit 12 which sets the image display device to a locked state in which operation with a remote control is disabled and operation with the main body operation unit is enabled; notification units 13, 14, and 16 which notify being in the locked state; and a notification control unit 12 which causes the notification units to perform notification if the main body operation unit is operated after the remote control is operated in the locked state. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
