The invention relates to a process and an installation for obtaining, by dosage, spherical shots of lead and non-ferrous alloys intended to be used in various fields, such as shotgun shells manufacturing, calibrations, counterweight manufacturing and the like. According to the invention, the process consists in dosing the liquid alloy by means of some packets of discs with circular orifices, where the middle disc (9) rotates at a certain rotary speed, taking over liquid alloy doses from the upper disc (8) and transferring them to the lower disc (10), to form imperfect lead spheres that fall onto a tray (11) which rotate at a certain distance from the lower disc (10) and start becoming sphere-shaped and, due to the centrifugal force, are pushed towards the exterior when they are cooled and discharged, the volume of the cylindrical pocket within the disc packet being adjusted based on the diameter of the cylindrical cut holes calculated depending on the diameter of the finished product which is desired to be obtained. The installation, as claimed by the invention, consists of an electrically-heated melting tank comprising the circular piece (1) on which the cylindrical wall (2) and the detachable cover (3) are fixed, inside the tank there being a shaft (4) which, along with the roller bearing (5) and the bearing box (6), permits the transmission of a rotation motion towards the middle disc (9) which is in contact with the upper disc (8) which, by aligning the holes of the same size cut into the discs, allows a dose of alloy to pass towards the lower disc (10) and towards a rotary tray (11) placed under the lower disc (10) that achieves the spherical shape of the shots and discharges the shots towards the exterior, due to the centrifugal force generated by a wheel (12) driven by the electric motor (15). |
