The invention relates to a lid with embedded grid meant to close a paint can and to drain the excess paint from the tool used for painting. According to the invention, the lid comprises a lid proper (1) with a central area and a border for sealing a paint can, said border surrounding the central area, some longitudinal and transverse prominences being provided on the inner surface of the lid (1), in the central area said prominences extending up to the border sealing the paint can and forming a grid (2) for draining the paint in excess, some elastic clamps (3) being provided in order to fix the lid (1) into the paint can in the position suitable for draining the paint from the used painting tool. |
