PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate an image in which distortion aberration and perspective are in balance.

SOLUTION: The image processing apparatus comprises: an image acquisition unit for acquiring an image; an information acquisition unit for acquiring image information indicating the content of the image; and a correction unit which performs correction on the basis of the image information so that the distortion of the image is left partially. For example, when the image information indicates that the content of the image is a conference, the correction unit dissolves all the horizontal components of the distortion and leaves a predetermined amount of the perpendicular component of the distortion.
