METHOD FOR SELECTING AREA ON A SCREEN IN A MOBILE DEVICE AND APPARATUS THEREFORE

PURPOSE: A display area selecting method of a mobile device and apparatus thereof are provided to improve the reliability of content selection by using a signal inputted from the outside of a mobile display screen. CONSTITUTION: A signal recognition unit(111) recognizes a signal by dragging the signal from the outside of a mobile display screen. A selecting area determination unit(112) determines a selecting area based on a location where a dragging motion is finished. The signal recognition unit recognizes an input signal and sensors arranged at the outside of the screen. The signal recognition unit determines a dragging signal according to an analysis result by analyzing the input signal on the screen.
