<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decrease a waiting time until an image to be used by appropriately controlling transfer order of tomographic images. <P>SOLUTION: An image processing apparatus using a plurality of tomographic images of subject to be examined which are parallel to a plane containing a first and a second directions and aligned in a third direction different from the first and the second directions, or using tomographic image groups composed of measurement data for generating the plurality of tomographic images of subject to be examined includes a storage unit for storing tomographic image groups. The image processing apparatus specifies a plurality of tomographic images from the tomographic image groups, and sets a priority which is higher than the other tomographic images to the specified tomographic images or a predetermined number of tomographic images adjacent to the specified tomographic images. Then, the image processing apparatus reads out the tomographic images from the storage unit by the set higher priority in order of the set higher priority to provide a latter step of processing. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
