BLOWER FOR AIR CONDITIONER OF AUTOMOTIVE VEHICLES

A blower for an air conditioner of a vehicle is provided to increase blowoff force and reduce a noise by designing a ratio of an air intake cross section of an upper intake port to a cross section of a side air path at an optimum ratio, and a ratio of heights of upper and lower ventilation wheels at an optimum ratio, thereby improving the performance of the blower. A scroll case(210) has upper and lower intake ports formed at upper and lower sides, and has a discharge port at one side. A double suction type centrifugal fan(220) is rotatively installed at the scroll case and has upper and lower ventilation wheels(222,224) integrated with a hub plate(226) connected with a motor(230) in an opposite direction. An intake door controls opening angles of internal and external air intake ports. An intake duct(240) forms an upper air path(250) and a side air path(252) distributing air sucked in through the internal and external air intake ports toward the upper and lower intake ports. A ratio of an air intake cross section(S1) of the upper intake port to a cross section of the side air path is 6:4-8:2.
