PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for protecting a slope of a levee by using a waste tire, which enables the waste tires to be easily connected together with high strength, without deteriorating the geometrical beauty of the slope, brings about a wave absorbing effect, effectively prevents sediment from flowing out from a sloping surface, and also brings about stability and durability, when the slope of the levee of the seashore/river etc. is protected by stacking the waste tires while horizontally and gradually sliding the waste tires, through the effective utilization of the waste tire as an recycled article. SOLUTION: In this method for protecting the slope of the levee by using the waste tire 1, the slope 10 of the levee is protected by stacking the waste tires 1 while horizontally and gradually sliding them. A hollow part of the waste tire 1 is filled with a filler 4; the waste tires 1 are stacked in such a manner that the sliding widths of the upper and lower waste tires 1 adjacent to each other are equal to or smaller than the width of the side wall of the waste tire 1; and the upper and lower stacked waste tires 1 are connected together.
