<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a functional filter material surely removing harmful substances contained in a high temperature exhaust gas, and having high durability when used at a high temperature and preferable gas permeability. <P>SOLUTION: Fine powder of a functional substance is dispersed in a liquid binder, the dispersed binder liquid is made to adhere on a felt sheet to uniformly fix the fine powder on the sheet face, the binder is removed by pyrolysis or vaporization by heat treatment at a high temperature, another felt sheet is superposed on the fixed face of the fine powder of the functional substance, and the sheets are integrated by needle punching. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
